In view of the problem that the towed body is recovered to the mother ship due to the complex coupling effect of ship excitation, hydrodynamic disturbance, retracting and releasing device and umbilical cable movement, which affects the safety of towed body recovery. Based on the OrcaFlex software, this paper establishes a simplified dynamic analysis model of the towed recovery system, and studies the dynamic response of the towed recovery system under different states. The results show that: under the action of 1.25 m wave height waves, when recovering at a lower speed, the towed body will cause the bottom to contact the water surface due to swinging during the process of crossing the wave area, and the umbilical cable will experience sudden load and relaxation, but the swing angle and horizontal displacement of the towed body will be reduced under the damping of seawater. The sudden stop of the winch will cause the umbilical cable tension to fluctuate significantly, and there will be a tension peak. Recovery at a lower winch speed is conducive to reducing the maximum tension of the umbilical cable. The response value of the entire towed recovery system is the largest in the oblique wave state. Except in the transverse wave state, the heave movement of the ship is often larger at the tail. At this time, it is safer to recover the towed body from the side of the ship.
